The Foundation for Child Development has funded the Uri Bronfenbrenner Student
Travel Fund to support doctoral student attendance at the 2008 Fall Research
Conference of the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management (APPAM),
November 6-8, Los Angeles, California. This fund specifically wishes to encourage
conference attendance by doctoral students in human development so they may gain
experience with related research in public policy.
An announcement including procedures for applying is on the APPAM website here:
Applications may be sent to me via email, faxed to 202-496-0134, or mailed to
APPAM, 1029 Vermont Avenue NW, Suite 1150, Washington, DC 20005. I strongly
prefer email as it will be the most efficient means of applying and we are making
these grants on a first-come, first served basis.
Students accepted for this program would be expected to register for the conference,
make travel arrangements, and invoice APPAM aftewards for expenses. The maximum
grant is $750 (U.S. recipients) or $1,000 (international recipients).
